Peyman Ardestani

Peyman Ardestani brings over 30 years of experience in the financial services sector, with a career defined by leadership in managing accounting departments for firms including TCW, Mellon Bank, Tenenbaum Capital, and Oaktree Capital Management.

Most recently, as Managing Director at Oaktree Capital Management, Peyman oversaw fund accounting, performance and analytics, centralized legal entity accounting, expense allocations, and project management. He served as the key business owner for the firm's fund and partnership accounting systems, giving him a comprehensive understanding of financial systems and operations end to end.

Throughout his career, Peyman has led multiple system implementations, designed operating models, and driven process improvements across fund accounting system conversions, legal entity accounting, and operating model design — including serving as Development Partner in building a closed-end partnership accounting and investor reporting system.

His work has also included automating core financial processes such as financial statement reporting, expense allocation, fund and investment performance measurement, and cash management and forecasting. He additionally led the in-house transition of public market strategies and established a staff augmentation team to expand service capabilities and improve operational efficiency.
